European blockchain organizations released a joint manifesto setting out principles for the future development of blockchain technology in the European Union. The initiative emphasized decentralization, privacy, security, transparency, sustainability and regulatory compliance as important foundations for responsible blockchain adoption.

The manifesto called for greater policy harmonization and international standardization while encouraging the use of blockchain to improve trade transparency, cybersecurity and verification systems. It also highlighted digital identity, digital assets and advanced cryptographic techniques such as zero-knowledge proofs as areas with significant potential.

Another focus was the need for investment, education and dialogue between policymakers and Web3-native companies. The manifesto argued that Europe has an opportunity to develop blockchain infrastructure that supports economic innovation while remaining consistent with European rights, values and regulatory requirements.
